Soft Skills
Soft skills is a term often associated with a person's Emotional Intelligence Quotient, the cluster of personality traits, social graces, communication, language, personal habits, friendliness, managing people, leadership, etc. that characterize relationships with other people. Soft skills, also known as people skills, complement hard skills to enhance an individual's relationships, job performance and career prospects. It's often said that hard skills will get you an interview but you need soft skills to get – and keep – the job.

Soft skills incorporate a wide variety of personality traits, communication and people skills, social attitudes and emotional intelligence. Happy Valley Business School aims to bring awareness on the management skills which ensure a person to become corporate ready.
Session on Business Presentation was conducted on 04.02.2021 at Happy Valley Business School. The session was conducted by Dr.T.Bina. The resource person explained about the art of presentation. Dr.T.Bina stressed that a business presentation is a purpose-led summary of key information about your company's plans, products, or practices, designed for either internal or external audiences.
Session on Resume Writing was conducted on 11.02.2021 at Happy Valley Business School. The session was conducted by Mr.A. Arunprakash. The resource person started the session with simple question of the difference between a resume and curriculum vitae. The answer helped to clarifying the doubts of students that whether as a fresher one has to write a resume or a CV .
Life Skill

In everyday life, the development of life skills helps students to: Find new ways of thinking and problem solving. recognize the impact of their actions and teaches them to take responsibility for what they do rather than blame others. Build confidence both in spoken skills and for group collaboration and cooperation.

These life skills include problem solving, critical thinking, communication skills, decision-making, creative thinking, interpersonal relationship skills, self awareness building skills, empathy and coping with stress skills. Happy Valley Business School plays an important role in imparting life skills to make better generation.
Session was handled by Dr.T.Bina on 06.03.2021 at Happy Valley Business School. She explained the importance of grooming and tips to improve personal grooming. It was very useful and interesting session. 53 Students participated in the session.
The session started with a basic introduction of Yoga, Pranayama and Dhyana and their implementation in day-to-day lives, practical demonstration of Sukshama Vyayama, Surya Namaskar, various asanas, Kapalbhati and Bhastrika Pranayama. Then, this workshop was followed by a guided meditation. 69 students and Faculty Members attend the Yoga Session.
Language Skills
​
Language skills are just as important in the 21st century as they were when Apollo 11 orbited the moon. Listening, speaking, reading and writing are critical language skills students need to navigate a changing professional landscape.
The understanding may have changed but the fundamentals remain the same. Happy Valley Business School takes steps to improve the language and communication skills through different sources.
The session was handled by Dr. T.Bina on 05.02.2021 at Happy Valley Business School. She explained the importance of communication and tips to improve communication skills. Dr. T.Bina explained importance of 9 “Cs” for Effective Communication
The session was handled by Dr.C.Kanagaraj on 12.02.2021 at Happy Valley Business School. Dr.C.Kanagaraj explained about the importance of reading books. He shared his views on the latest books he read. The students were asked to present their book review.
Computing Skills

ICT skills are an essential requirement for the majority of job roles. Having these skills will help students to organize workload, streamline processes and access digital information.

Happy Valley gives the students the best education to enhance their technical skills by giving them the best opportunities to improve and reproduce their knowledge production by computer aided tools.
The session was handled by Mr.R .Santhosh raja on 10.03.2021. The participants were introduced to the CANVA platform and the basics of graphic designing, followed by a detailed guideline on making posters, newsletters and power point presentations.
The session was handled by Mr. Santhosh raja R on 27.03.2021. The Resource person started his session with a basic introduction to MS Excel. He had already shared data to their E-Mail IDs. With that data, he started explaining the concept of Pivot table
